Sharon, Sandy and Lexie’s Christmas FriendsnFamily Newsletter 2007

We’re always excited and eager to write our FriendsnFamily newsletter. We get to think about our FriendsnFamily throughout the world and connect with them during this Christmas season. We get to quickly share our life with all of you through the Internet and wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please feel free to browse our 2007 photos and videos by clicking on the underlined blue text (hyperlink). The hyperlink will take you to the appropriate website or slide show and clicking the “back” button will get you back to this newsletter.

Lexie, our 19 month old daughter, lightened our lives. We continue to enjoy her laugh and smile. Her daily learning amazes us. Lexie makes us laugh out loud as we see her taste and decide if she likes new flavors. She recently tried Egg Nog for the first time and with a “Got Egg Nog” mustache said “Yummm”.

We took daily walks on the beach, travelled to zoos, read books, watched Elmo, played on the swings, practiced plastic golf in the living room , danced and chuckled. Please check out some of the videos of Lexie and 2007 at www.thefamilypost.com/macdougallfamily/videos.php.

Sandy started working with Tavant Technologies in January as Director of Sales for the Western Region. Tavant provides Global IT solutions, components and services in mortgage, service operations, data warehousing, analytics and web technologies. Sandy achieved a number of successful sales to large financial institutions and is working to diversify his Tavant 2008 sales efforts as the mortgage meltdown continues. Sharon continued her career with Kimball Office and in March received a promotion to a Strategic Accounts sales position. Sharon now establishes new global corporate furniture agreements with Fortune 500 companies in the Western U.S. Everyday is a fun filled potpourri of happenings at 423 Marigold with 2 home offices, Frazier, Lexie and our Nanny, Marisol.

In addition to our frequent business travels, our family travelled to Palm Desert for golf, tennis and poolside; Santa Rosa, CA for wine tasting with Artie, Susie, Dennis and Staci; Ligonier, PA for a special MacDougall Family Reunion pictured below and Vermont to visit Olavvi and Sue Wirkki pictured to the right. We spent time at Caroline’s and Jerry’s wedding (below right) in Santa Barbara, and in San Francisco for a day on Fisherman’s Wharf.

Sandy took advantage of Sharon’s kind heart and giving nature and attended a few grandfathered in boys trips. Sandy skied in Mammoth with The Boys of Winter, spent a weekend and Bandon Dunes (pictured below) for a 72 hour golf junket with his brother, Tony Lyon and friends Mike Scanlon and Steve Patterson. Sandy rounded out the boys trip year with a golf trip to Primm, Nevada with the Cinco de Mayo crowd and played in the annual Vineyard Classic Tennis Tournament which was held in Tampa, Florida.

At home our family continued to support UCLA, and we attended basketball games at Pauley Pavilion and football games at the Rose Bowl. We volunteered at Mariners Church and worked on our golf games at Newport Beach Country Club and Tennis games at Palisades Tennis Club.

On the networking front, Sharon continued her networking prowess and stayed very involved with CREW (Commercial Real Estate Executive Women), NAIOP, CoreNet and IFMA (International Facilities Management Association). She chaired the CREW golf tournament which raised over $28,000 for 2 charities.

Sandy served as President of The Breakfast Club of Newport Beach where the year culminated at The Annual Christmas Party at Congressman John Campbell’s house.

While we continue to be blessed with family who support and care about us, we remember Sandy’s Mom, Patsy Alshuler, who passed away on October 25th. Patsy wanted and finally received her precious little Granddaughter. Patsy touched many lives with her laughter, cheer, and songs. She possessed a beautiful voice, a love for the Lord, a kind heart, and a joyful spirit. A loving mother, friend, and wife, Patsy will be sorely missed, but not forgotten.

As we send this letter, we are packing to go to Beaver Creek for Christmas where we will visit The Lyon’s, Kellen’s and Pierpont families for Christmas. New traditions start today! During Christmas we reflect on God’s blessings in our lives and the birth of his son, Jesus. Thank you for reading our friendsnfamily letter and for your Christmas Cards, photos and letters . We love to stay connected and share in your experiences and memories. We hope you all have a healthy and prosperous 2008.

Love,

Sharon, Sandy, Lexie and Frazier MacDougall
